Taking place from September 7 to 9, 2023, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh city 2023 (ITE HCMC 2023) is expected to gather more than 200 international buyers from key and potential tourism markets of Vietnam.
Creating attraction for Vietnam tourism
Vietnam tourism has created and established values with its own identity to attract domestic and foreign tourists. Since 2019, Vietnam has been honoured by the World Tourism Organization as “World’s Leading Heritage Destination”. Not only attracting tourists by cultural values, heroic historical traditions, Vietnam is also known for its beautiful and majestic natural scenery. Besides, Vietnam also receives the love of international tourists because of its unique cuisine, especially when the recent Michelin guide has just honoured a series of restaurants and food stalls that are worth experiencing in the S-shaped land.
To become the top choice destination, Vietnam’s tourism needs to be consistent with the sustainable values that have been built and established in the hearts of international tourists, as well as strengthen activities of promotion and introduction to people around the world.
In particular, the focus on key and emerging tourism markets is expected to bring buoyancy to Vietnamese tourism, in the context of the global smokeless industry in the race to recover.
Hosted Buyer Program – the “magnet” attracting international businesses
In order to restore the number of international tourists to Vietnam (Inbound), ITE HCMC 2023 has the exclusive Hosted Buyer program with more than 200 international buyers, creating opportunities for direct exchange and contact between international and Vietnamese tourism businesses in the form of B2B. The fair was honoured to receive the attention and participation of leaders of international travel businesses, MICE travel agencies, and high-class resorts from key and potential inbound tourism markets of Vietnam, such as Northeast Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan…), Western Europe (England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain), North America (USA, Canada), Southeast Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), and the potential market like India, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, etc.
These are important markets contributing significantly to the prosperity of Inbound tourism. According to data from the General Statistics Office, in the first five months of this year, Vietnam’s 10 largest international tourist markets (Korea, mainland China, the US, Taiwan islands, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, and India) contributed more than 3.3 million visitors, accounting for 71% of the total number of visitors.
Continuously improving quality and quantity, ITE HCMC 2023 will open up opportunities to connect with pioneering organisations and businesses globally, especially in key and emerging markets. Thereby, the event creates favourable conditions to maximise the potential and advantages of each side, promote cooperation, contribute to positioning Vietnam’s tourism brand in the international arena and shape the future of the tourism industry.
Continuing to affirm its position as a leading tourism trade event in the region, ITE HCMC 2023 promises an upgrade in both scale and quality. Accordingly, the Fair will double the exhibition and booth area compared to 2022.
In order to expand connection and cooperation opportunities in maximum, the Fair takes place in hybrid format, including physical format with special and featured booths such as exhibitions of ao dai, handicrafts, coffee, folk art, etc. and 2D booths with fully updated information and diverse features.
In addition, ITE HCMC 2023 continues to be deeply invested in professional content with many tourism seminars, events, and surveys taking place throughout the three days, thereby contributing breakthrough solutions and setting a worthy position on the world map for Vietnam’s tourism.
ITE HCMC 2023 is endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, co-organized by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, CIS Vietnam and Le Bros.
