The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) 2024 is gearing up to welcome over 300 exhibitors. This event promises to be the most significant in the tourism industry this year, attracting a substantial number of domestic and international participants. It will provide extensive opportunities for networking, collaboration, and substantial growth in the sector.
Building on Success: ITE HCMC 2024 Expands Its Reach
The Organizing Committee has announced that the ITE HCMC 2024 Expo will significantly expand both its exhibition area and the number of booths compared to previous years. This year’s event is anticipated to attract over 500 exhibitors and brands from a diverse array of sectors, including international tourism promotion agencies, provincial and municipal tourism departments, local tourism associations, travel companies, travel agencies, accommodation providers, airlines, and transportation services. This expansion highlights the Expo’s growing importance and its role as a key platform for industry professionals to connect and collaborate.
This year, the organizers have focused on elevating the quality and fostering stronger partnerships by inviting participants from a wide range of sectors, including leisure tourism, sports tourism, culinary tourism, finance, and technology. A standout feature of ITE HCMC 2024 is the significant interest from international tourism promotion agencies from countries like South Korea, Russia, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. Particularly noteworthy is the robust participation from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia, showcasing their expanded involvement in this premier event.
Nearly 300 Domestic Exhibitors Confirm Their Participation in ITE 2024
To date, nearly 300 exhibitors and brands from 38 provinces have registered to participate in the Expo. Major cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Lao Cai, Binh Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Kien Giang, and Dong Nai will be prominently represented. This broad participation promises to make the ITE HCMC 2024 a resounding success, both in scale and professional engagement. The substantial turnout not only highlights local tourism but also creates numerous opportunities for cooperation, investment, and development across the national tourism sector. In 2023, ITE HCMC drew over 400 exhibitors and brands from both domestic and international markets, with local entities representing more than 70% of the total. These impressive numbers reflect the event’s steady growth in both scale and quality, affirming its rising prominence and influence in the tourism sector.
As a major trade promotion event dedicated to advancing sustainable practices in Vietnam’s tourism sector, the 18th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2024) will be held from September 5 to 7, 2024, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). The theme for this year, “Sustainable Travel, Creating Future” highlights the Expo’s commitment to driving long-term development and innovation within the industry.
ITE HCMC 2024 promises to deliver significant benefits for both exhibitors and provinces. With participation numbers expected to rise as the event approaches, this Expo offers an exceptional platform for provinces to showcase their domestic tourism, attract investment, and stimulate local economic growth. Furthermore, the event is poised to represent the vibrant energy, resilience, and innovation of Vietnam’s tourism sector, building on the impressive momentum that has characterized the industry since late 2023.
