Ho Chi Minh City, September 4, 2025 – The opening ceremony of the 19th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2025), the 2025 Export Forum, and the “International Supply Chain Connection” event – the largest international event series of the year – officially took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), drawing the attention of businesses and visitors worldwide.
Held simultaneously under the shared theme “Green Connectivity – Sustainable Development”, the three events mark a milestone of close cooperation among key ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Three Major Events – One Destination, Driving Economic Momentum
Hosting three events at once has created a synergistic impact, opening unprecedented opportunities for multi-sector, multi-national connections. This event series not only maximizes the success of each individual program but also generates a powerful “flow” for Vietnam’s tourism, trade, investment, and export sectors.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Dũng, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, emphasized: “Organizing three events simultaneously symbolizes harmony in our strategy and development vision.” The event also demonstrates the City’s commitment to fostering a favorable business environment and creating a green, sustainable, and innovative economic–tourism–trade ecosystem.
ITE HCMC 2025: Elevating Vietnam’s Tourism
With the theme “Sustainable Tourism – Immersive Experiences”, ITE HCMC 2025 reaffirms its position as Vietnam’s only tourism promotion event with an International Buyers Program. The expo gathers over 500 tourism businesses, 250 premium buyers from 41 countries and territories, and tens of thousands of visitors, promising more than 12,000 business appointments.
ITE HCMC 2025 is not only a meeting point but also a forum for enterprises and localities to develop distinctive tourism products, moving towards green and responsible tourism.
Export Forum & Supply Chain Connection: Expanding Trade Opportunities
Serving as a trusted bridge, the 2025 Export Forum and the “International Supply Chain Connection” event welcomed over 300 purchasing delegations from 60 countries and territories. More than 12,000 products from Vietnam’s key sectors – including agricultural goods, processed foods, consumer industries, and supporting industries – were showcased. Thousands of B2B connections took place, fostering substantive cooperation and enabling Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in global value chains and diversify their markets.
International Integration: Ho Chi Minh City as a Global Metropolis
Coinciding with the event series, Ho Chi Minh City also proudly hosted the 12th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities (TPO). This once again underscored Ho Chi Minh City’s status and capacity on the international stage.
As Vietnam’s largest economic–financial center, the City is steadily transforming into a world-class metropolis, ranking among the top 100 most livable cities worldwide.
Bringing these three major events together represents a milestone in the development journey of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam, demonstrating a spirit of innovation and proactive integration. This is a golden opportunity to showcase a dynamic, distinctive Vietnam – ready to connect and collaborate for a sustainable future.
